What did you do before Law School? I was elected to city council in Williams Lake, BC for a three year term and then moved to Seoul, South Korea where I was an elementary teacher for four and half years..

What are you hoping to do with your degree? Still too many options to consider and I'm still measuring to see what I enjoy and what I want to be doing.

What has been your experience the U of C Law School so far? Better than I imagined. I continue to be impressed by the interest the faculty has in our growth.

Which professor has influenced you most, and why? Professor Nick Rafferty. Fear is an amazing motivator and with his teaching style you know you need to be prepared every day and I've enjoyed every moment of his classes - even when slightly under-prepared.

What has been your favourite course, and why? Constitutional Law.

Describe your extra-curricular activities at the U of C: I am a member of the Banff/Canmore Student Legal Assistance Team and the First Year Rep. for SLS. I'm too afraid to do more than that out of fear I won't be able to get the work done.

Have you done, or are you currently doing, any public service? At the moment, I'm not doing anything. But, the term on city council kept me extremely busy in the past with various charity organizations and community development.

What is your favourite place or activity on the U of C campus? McMahon Stadium during Roughrider games.

What advice would you give to students looking to go to law school? Do it all. The students here all have impressive undergraduate backgrounds and LSAT scores. But, the other thing they all have in common is an active (and varied) extra-curricular career. It has been an amazing experience to study with my classmates who each have extremely impressive and diverse interests and backgrounds.
